Why Shalom
Shalom Foundation is a Registerd Charitable Non Government Organisations (NGO) Which is established on 23rd March 2018.
Pune formerly spelled Poona (1857–1978), is the second largest city in the Indian state of Maharashtra, after Mumbai. This is a cosmopolitan city is now becoming a IT Hub city. It also known as second oxford of education.
It is very important to mention that this City is having 13 slum areas. Most migrant people are living here for the last fifty years. Some of the slums are very vast. Pune Municipal Corporation has provided all the basic facilities but there are still some problems such as ALCOHOL addicts, Gambling, low literacy rates, superstitious beliefs, Domestic violence, school dropout girl children, poor sanitation, increase in various Health issues and misuse of youth power by stakeholders.
In this city, more than 100 other NGO are working then why one more new NGO?
The answer is “facta non Verba” we want to bring change in this city with the help of expert and experienced people.

We want to focus on some of the slums, Gunj Peth slum area, Ramtekadi Slum area, Tadiwala road Slum area, Kashewadi slum area, Lohiya Nagar slum area, and the outskirts of the Pune city with approximately 3 lakh Population.
